Every Sunday, starting February 16th, South Carolina Gamecocks pitcher Jake McCoy (#23) is turning strikeouts into support for veterans! He has pledged to donate $23 for every strikeout he records, and we’re working with companies to match his donation—multiplying the impact for those who have served.

"Baseball has always been a huge part of my life, but some things are even bigger than the game. This season, I’m dedicating every strikeout I record on the mound to a cause that’s close to my heart—supporting our veterans.

I grew up in a community that always showed up for each other, and I’ve been inspired by the sacrifices veterans have made for our country. That’s why I’m teaming up with Purple Heart Homes, an incredible organization that provides housing solutions for service-connected disabled and aging veterans.

For every strikeout I throw this season, I’ll be making a donation to Purple Heart Homes—and I’m inviting you to join me. Every dollar raised helps ensure veterans have safe, accessible homes that meet their needs.
